Hoot Night

The Belknap County Hoot Night will be open to musicians of all ages and is an opportunity for local musicians to show your stuff. Join the band on stage or perform solo. We’re celebrating the opening night of the Fair. Let’ Have Fun!!!
Registration begins at 6PM! and Performances begin at 7PM
The Details.
1. Performers must have fun!!
Not having fun can earn you a nasty look
2. Performers must play Acoustic Instruments – such as guitar, banjo, mandolin, steel guitar, fiddle, dulcimer, harmonica etc. Electric instruments are not allowed however, amplification of a bass IS allowed.
3. Performers are invited to sing as well as play.
4. We will provide a sound system, and all instruments must be played acoustically through our microphones.
5. You can participate as a duo, trio, or quartet. Larger groups will be allowed at the discretion of the organizers and are subject to the logistical limitations of the venue (e.g., stage size, sound requirements, etc).
6. You will be limited to 10 or, (if the number of signups allows) 15 minutes. Please plan accordingly. There is no minimum time.
7. This is a family oriented event. Please pick appropriate songs/lyrics

1. Will begin at 6pm and close one-half hour after the showcase has begun, or when the registrar determines all slots are full.
2. The order of performance will be determined by drawing names out of a hat.
3. Late signups- signups prior to the start of performances will be guaranteed a place in the showcase. Late signups will be placed at the end of the performance time and at the discretion of the organizers.
4. There is no registration fee for the showcase. However, performers and all visitors will need to pay fair admission fee ($5 per car load) to enter the fairgrounds.
